Hunger began to flood over me.

There was plenty of food downstairs but I didn't really feel like having to deal with my Dad trying to bond with me. It's really freaking creepy.

I remembered I had a pack of Rainbow Twizzlers in my bag. I ungracefully dragged my legs over the side of my bed and heard a loud CRUNK as my shoes stepped down on the debris strewn across my bedroom floor.

I walked over and picked up my bag. I unzipped the front pocket: the sweet and sickly smell of food dye and various E numbers trickled out of my bag and rose up into my nostrils.

I slightly smiled from being greeted with my one of my favourite smells and dug my teeth into the candle shaped sweets. I violently tore away with a mouthful.

They tasted like how crayons should.
