Harry was a successful businessman.

As he slowly crunched up the gravel of his driveway, he thought of Amy and Jo, and the hugs they would give him when he walked through the door.

As he pushed down the handle, he heard a scream of joy. He had only just gotten through the door when he was jumped on by his youngest daughter, Amy.

"Daddy!" she screamed.

"Hey, honey! I've missed you so much! I got you something from Switzerland..." Harry said.

"What is it!? Give me it!"

"Here you go..."

He reached into his pocket and pulled out a little silver model of her favourite creature - a dragon.

"Oh, thank you Daddy!" she exclaimed, reaching out for it.

"You're welcome, sweetie. Where's Jo?"

He trundled upstairs, to find his eldest daughter sitting at the computer with earphones stuck in her ears. He sneaked up behind her, and yanked out the earphones. She looked around.

"Hey, Dad! How was the business trip?"

"Hi Jo! It was alright, I suppose. The prototype novelty lamp was accepted by Derek's company, so it could be a hit!"

"Awesome!" she stood up and wrapped her arms around him.

"So, where's Alice?"

"Oh. Mum went to the shops about ten minutes before you came in. She should be home soon."

Jo was diabetic. Harry worried about her every day, but always made sure she was safe. She had gotten used to it, but when she was a little girl, she would scream in protest against the needles containing insulin.

Amy trotted up the stairs, and entered the room where her dad and Jo were.

"Hey, Jo! Look what Dad got me!" She flashed the dragon in front of her face.

"That's cool," she said. "Did you get me anything?"

"Of course not," he teased, with a grin on his face.

Harry dug his hand in his pocket and brought out a delicate white-gold necklace with a pendant in the shape of a heart.

"It's beautiful! Thanks, Dad. Ha, my friends are gonna be jealous!"

I will bring out Part Two soon, but criticism would be appreciated!
