Poem: Sleeping Sailors
The dreamy blanket of the enveloping dusk,
hugs the sheltered bay.
The milky blue mist soothes the harbour into its lulled rest.
Hush-a-bye, hush-a-bye, the soft susurrus of the night.
The sea drifts away, its salty taste but a memory.
The sailors sleep.
