My life is pretty average, well, so people think.

They think I'm happy and am pleased with my life, but I'm not.

Have you ever noticed that people who seem the happiest always have the worst life and big problems but the people who act as though they're depressed and cut themselves are really just attention seeking and they want popularity.

I myself have never fancied the route of popularity. I've never been anything but myself and why should I change my lifestyle and my personality just to have more friends than I could possibly socialise with?

I think that stereotypes and labelling is wrong; people who are smart are nerds, people who don't like to go out to parties are boring, people who aren't size zero are obese and people who are different to you are weird. We are all unique and we should be able to appreciate that and all be friends, although at the moment I can say, without a doubt, that I despise half of my year in school.

I am against stereotyping and I'm sure that most people are, even though they may not want to admit it.

I think it's stereotyping to call people who self-harm attention-seekers who crave popularity. Stereotyping and plain incorrect.

Hey! Don't let anyone make you feel down, be who you are, because that is the best person you can be :) I totally agree with you about stereotyping, I think it's stupid, I mean just to label someone as a 'goth', 'chav' or 'emo' etc is pretty lame!

Hey hey! Go JazzHands! Calling it like it is!

Although let's be fair, we only use stereotypes to make it easier to understand what is difficult: human beings. We're all very different in various ways and it would be very difficult to discuss society using all those terms. It's much easier (though not necessarily right) to simply call somone who wears jogging bottoms a chav.
