Kids these days
I don’t think the media make young people look good, they are always going on about how we are the problem. Most of the time people my age are blamed for stabbings, murders, taking drugs etc, it’s very rare to see anything in the news that is positive. A few months ago for example, there was a news story about a man that had been kicked to death by some teenagers - adults and other people watching or reading that in the news would've thought that every other child or teenager is exactly the same.?
A lot of people have a negative opinion of young people. ?I went out with a couple of friends to Roath Park recently and sat on a bench which had bread crumbs and salad leaves underneath. While we were there an old man came up to us and told us to clean up all the mess we had made, we told him we hadn’t made it, but he then had a go at us for lying, walking away grumbling under his breath about 'kids these days'.
It was just unfair, he jumped to a conclusion and blamed us. I hope what I have written might be enough, I know a lot of other young people with opinions about this and I suggest they have an opportunity for their stories to be heard too, please give us kids a chance
