*Monday, 31st March 2014 is your last chance to fill in the survey*

How careful are you when you use the internet?

Do you make sure that everything that you do online is only kept between you and your friends?

Or is everything open for everyone to see what you do?

Do you worry about cyberbullying?

Worried about how vulnerable you are online?

Well these are the kinds of things we want to know about.

There has been much talk in the media recently about the dangers of the internet and the need for a better understanding and education of e-safety in the schools, and this is exactly what we are trying to find out about.

The South West Grid for Learning in partnership with ProMo-Cymru and Plymouth University want to find out more about young people's e-safety in Wales on behalf of the Welsh Government.

This will begin with a survey to get an idea of what the situation is in Wales. Three surveys have been created: one for children and young people 0-18 years old, one for parents and one for professionals working with young people.

All responses to the surveys will be collected and a landscape evaluation report created, from this recommendations will be made which will then go on to help create an e-safety curriculum for Wales.

So your opinion is important to us, because it is young people like you who can tell us what the reality is in Wales and what is genuinely needed to be done to protect young people like you and the young people of the future. Maybe you personally haven't been affected but it's certain that nearly everyone knows someone or has heard of someone who has been worried by something that has happened online.

This is a short survey and should only take about 5 minutes of your time but it can help to make a huge difference to the safety of young people in Wales on the internet.

If you are worried about anything and need to talk to someone then Meic, the advocacy, information and advice helpline for children and young people in Wales, can help you. You can call the helpline free on 080880 23456, text them on 84001 or chat to them online at www.meiccymru.org.  All information you give is confidential.
