Cardiff City Push For Promotion Again
With the heartbreak of yet another play-offs misery very much at the front of the players' minds, changes were called for at Cardiff City. Dato Chan Tien Ghee, the Malaysian owner had decided it was time to relieve Dave Jones of his duties with The Bluebirds after a six year reign as manager.
Tien Ghee employed the help of CEO Gethin Jenkins and solicitor Steve Borley to front up the search for a new manager and they wasted no time in running up a shortlist of potential candidates, e.g. Roberto Di Matteo, Chris Hughton and Malky Mackay.
Borley and Jenkins in turn interviewed the managers on their shortlist and whittled it down to those 3 candidates, however, Alan Shearer was a late runner for the job and thought he had it in the bag until two days later when it was announced, former Watford boss Malky Mackay was to be the new man in charge.
The Bluebirds had already lost 12 senior players from their side in 2010-11 season, some of which included; Craig Bellamy, Michael Chopra and England international Jay Bothroyd, so it was his priority to bring in some new, young and fresh faces.
Up to this day, Mackay has signed 9 players, Robert Earnshaw, Joe Mason, Aron Gunnarsson, Filip Kiss, Craig Conway, French under 21 international Rudy Gestede, Andrew Taylor, Don Cowie and full Scottish international Kenny Miller. They have played four friendlies, winning one against Charlton, drawing one against Yeovil and losing two against Celtic and Bournemouth.
It is a big rebuilding process that Cardiff City need to go through and the new man in charge needs time to bond the new players together. This will be a test of footballing knowledge and a test of skill for Malky Mackay, the big question on the end of everyone's lips is, "is it our season?".

While I'm sure this was very well written, all I could make out was "Well, yes, badgers are important to the local wildlife, but so is methane gas."
