Be Positive, Beautiful
The media, marketing companies and magazines have all helped contribute towards the increasing amounts of people with low self-esteem, little confidence, eating disorders and more.
In my opinion they're big bullies with contradicting opinions whose approval you can never truly win.
So instead of trying to gain approval, stand up to it. Tell yourself positive things. Repeat until you believe them. Write it somewhere you can see it every day. Tell the people you love why you love them. Let a stranger know they are important.
I suggest if you want to feel good take part in Operation Beautiful. Get creative. Get positive. Get active. You are beautiful. You are wonderful. You are important. You are loved. You are beautiful modified and unmodified. Love yourself. Believe in yourself. Remind yourself those pictures are airbrushed.
It's more important to do what you love, be who you are than to ever try to fit into society's definition of normal. As Dr. Seuss once said "Be who you are and say how you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind".
