In an unprecedented world-first for the Festival of Voice, one of music's true originals, Sir Van Morrison, will be teaming up with internationally-renowned Welsh opera star Bryn Terfel* for a one-time only performance. Morrison, who has an astonishing six Grammy Awards to his name, is known for his magical live performances and the creation of a unique sub-genre 'Celtic soul', combining conventional soul and R&B with Celtic tradition, jazz and stream-of-consciousness narrative. With his unparalleled talents as composer, singer and performer, Morrison will bring his revered catalogue of music back to Wales Millennium Centre in his much-anticipated return to Cardiff. Joining him for a final encore of unique duets, Welsh bass-baritone Bryn Terfel* is known for his versatility as a concert performer, with highlights ranging from the opening ceremony of Wales Millennium Centre and BBC Last Night of the Proms to a gala concert with Andrea Bocelli in Central Park, New York.
