“Juliette Gréco is more than a name. It’s a prestige. A myth. In the hearts of the masses, she is the greatest since Piaf." Louis Nucera Juliette Gréco is a true French icon. Described by Jean-Paul Sartre as having “a million poems in her voice”, singer and actress Gréco was muse to the French existentialists in post-war Paris. Since then, this legendary chanteuse has continued to inspire and discover new talent during a career that has spanned more than 60 years. Accompanied by her pianist and husband Gérard Jouannest and Jean-Louis Matinier on accordion, this rare UK appearance for Gréco is an evening not to be missed. Juliette Gréco will perform at the New Theatre as part of Festival of Voice, a new international festival in Cardiff next June. Created by Wales Millennium Centre and supported by Arts Council of Wales, Colwinston Charitable Trust and Cardiff Council. Tickets available online: www.festivalofvoice.wales or over the phone: 029 2063 6464 Age guidance 14+ (no under 2s)
