The Cardiff Cycle Festival returns this month for a two-week celebration of all that is good about two-wheeled travel and to encourage more people to take up this fun, healthy and sustainable mode of transport.

Now in its third year the festival promises to be bigger and better than ever with a host of events taking place across the city between Saturday 15th and Sunday 30th June 2013.

Events throughout the two weeks include the launch event in the Bay on the Saturday 15th June. For this event Cardiff Cycle Festival is teaming up with the One Planet Festival for a free family fun day to celebrate and promote local and national community groups involved in sustainable development. Activities include the Cycle Training Wales mountain bike track, a cycle chic fashion show, juggling, toddle bikes, Dr Bike session, music, craft, local artists and more.

On Sunday 16th June 2013 the festival teams up with the National Green Film Week, with an event being held at Chapter Arts Centre. Other highlights of the festival include: Robert Penn, author of It’s All About The Bike: The Pursuit Of Happiness On Two Wheels is hosting an event that will see local rival bike shops build a bike from scratch against the clock; cycle tours around Cardiff, family bike rides, Enfys cabinART launch event and to finish the festival there will be a bike pub quiz on Sunday 30th June.
